Appointment update

I had a very uneventful checkup today. We listened to the heartbeat and it sounded good - it was in the upper 150's. I was happy that it took the doctor no time at all to find it. We talked about the ultrasound we had last week and I will have the NST's (non-stress tests) weekly starting at 28 weeks. I'll also do the glucose test then, which I'm not looking forward to since I've heard you have to drink some nasty orange stuff. Anyway, then I asked my doctor about inducing at 38 or 39 weeks like the other doctor at the ultrasound place had mentioned, and she said she would even consider inducing at 37 weeks. That means the baby would basically be born on Ada's birthday, which neither of us are comfortable with. I'm sure when the time gets closer we can talk about specific dates, and I'll see if we can do it a day or two later. I'm also a little concerned about the baby latching on for breast-feeding if it's too early, but again, we'll talk about that when the time is closer. So, it looks like we'll have a mid-July baby!

Hi, im a lurker so this will be my first comment. Just wanted to let u know that i was Gestational Diabetic with my son. The nurses call the stuff u have to drink Glucola, some say its gross but i think and have heard the same from many people that it just tastes like orange soda so its really not bad at all. Glad your pregnancy is going so well and that your husband got to feel your baby kick!
