Stolen ice cream

Tonight Hunter and I decided to indulge and we went to McDonald's to get ice cream. So, we pull up to the window where you get the food and there was one car in front of us. The worker handed that guy his drink and started to hand him a hot fudge sundae, which also happened to be what Hunter ordered. The worker hesitated, and then put the sundae down at the window and walked away. The driver of the car looked inside, and then leaned way out the window - like half of his body was out of the car - and grabbed the sundae. I turned to Hunter and said, "I think that guy just stole your sundae!" Hunter disagreed. Anyway, the worker came back, handed the guy a little bag, and then it was our turn to pull up. The worker looked around next to the window for a second, confused, and then went back and said to his co-workers, "I think that guy just took the sundae." We both started laughing and told the worker what had happened when he came back. Of course they made Hunter another one, but I could tell the worker was pretty mad. It was funny, but also very sad. I asked Hunter if the economy is so bad that people have to steal 99 cent sundaes, but Hunter's theory is that the guy can't afford sundeas because instead he has to buy gas for his gigantic vehicle. I think he just realized when it was too late that a hot fudge sundae was a very good idea.
