So cool!
Today we got the chance to see the space shuttle on its way back home on the top of a modified 747! It was very, very cool. We picked the perfect spot on the beach at the air force base and we were able to watch the shuttle/747 coming straight towards us, then south a little, and then it flew just over the water along the beach.
I have now seen launches, I've seen the shuttle in space as it was catching up to the International Space Station, I've heard the sonic booms as the shuttle has come in for a landing, and now I've seen it on top of a 747. By the way, seeing the shuttle and ISS in space was extremely cool.

will tell you can see either of them passing overhead. It looks like a really bright, fast star.
