Eleanor had her one month checkup today. She now weighs 9 lbs and is 21 3/4" long. She's definitely long and lean - she's in the 75th percentile for height and the 40th for weight. She's been gaining weight just fine though, so it's not a problem. The doctor did hear a "click" in her hip, so she's ordered an ultrasound to check it out. The doctor didn't seem concerned though.
Eleanor got her second Hepatitis B shot today. I wasn't with her when she got the first one at the hospital so it was my first time seeing her get a shot. She did NOT like it, and I almost cried too when I heard her pained little cry! Poor baby. She calmed down pretty quickly though. We go back in another month and she gets a bunch of shots then.

It seems like Eleanor is doing really well! I'm glad to hear it. It's always unnerving re. the weight and height checks, but don't worry too much. Every baby is different, and as long as they're gaining weight and growing well, it's all good. My daughter Charlotte has consistently been in the 10th percentile weight-wise, but because there have been no sudden dips or spikes, that's totally fine.
I'm really enjoying the updates!
The shots are always hard...especially when you know they're coming and your baby is laying there happy, clueless as to what is about to happen. Kayde had a hip click too at her 1 month check-up and we went to children's hospital to get it checked out (ultrasound). Luckily, Kayde's wasn't bad enough to wear harness. I hope Eleanor gets a good report.
