It seems like Eleanor does something interesting every day (or multiple times each day!) so I just wanted to write these down before I forget.
We had chicken for dinner the other night, and Eleanor will never eat chicken. I tried anyway though.
Me: "Eleanor, would you like some chicken?"
Eleanor made a disgusted face and pushed my hand away.
Hunter: "Would you like to try some goat meat?" (NO, we did not have goat meat! It was the same chicken!)
Eleanor ate a bite, and then said, "Mmmmm! More! More! More!"
We both sacrificed some 'goat meat' from our plates so she could have some. Crazy kid....and crazy daddy.
Eleanor said her first sentence the other day! She's said phrases that we've taught her ("all done") and she recently started putting two words together on her own ("big book"), but this is the first time I think she's come up with a sentence all on her own: "I will do it." That's my independent girl!! If you're wondering, she was talking about letting the water out of the tub...SHE wanted to be the one to do it.
Yesterday she was talking away into her toy phone. It was really cute, and when she finally paused for a second I said, "Who are you talking to?" Without missing a beat, she said, "Daddy" and went right back to talking to him.
She has a bunch of plastic animals and yesterday she and Hunter were playing with them together. Hunter showed her how to make the wolf tilt back onto its hind legs and howl, and then he did it with the fox. Eleanor picked up the eel (yes, she has a plastic eel) and made it stand up (?) and howl. Hunter told her that the eel doesn't howl, so she turned to the whale and tilted it back onto its tail and made it howl.
This morning Eleanor was playing with her little people. She had this one person (it may have been a lion, actually) and was talking and talking to it. She said, "badadabe come here bada dedadabe change diaper." Then she turned the person onto his back to change its diaper!
