February

I am in trouble with my mother for not posting an update in quite a while, so here you go!

Arthur is growing up and learning how to do all kinds of things by himself, and he loves to be my helper!  Whenever I do laundry he comes in the laundry room and "helps" me move stuff from the washer to the dryer.  If I drop anything he picks it up and puts in in the dryer, so I usually drop some socks on purpose.  The other day I bought groceries and he helped me carry bags into the kitchen.  I bought a bunch of stuff like toothpaste, soap, etc. that needed to go in my bathroom, and I handed him items one by one and told him to take them in there and he did!  He was EXTREMELY proud of himself too.

Eleanor makes me laugh every day.  The other day she made her first real joke.  In the Winnie the Pooh movie, which she has seen one time, there's a scene where Tigger says "Cheerio!"  She imitates him sometimes and comes into a room and says "Cheerio!"  I've explained to her that it's a way of saying hello, but of course she is much more familiar with the cereal.  Well, the other morning she did it but instead she said, "Honey Bunches of Oats!"  She laughed and laughed at herself, and of course I did too!

Now for the pictures:

One night at dinner Arthur was going crazy because he wanted our forks.  I finally went and got him one, and he used it expertly!  I don't know why I didn't realize he was ready for this.

Mmm, dessert!

My big 3 1/2-year-old!

He LOVES to play with these trains.  He gets them out at least once a day.

All ready for the Dark Sky Festival

We enjoyed looking through the telescopes at the Dark Sky Festival, but before it got dark Eleanor enjoyed these little kiddie rides.

She had to ride every single one

My little laundry helper

Sweet face

Eleanor in her new Jupiter shirt.  I told her to stand by the door, and Arthur eagerly followed.  He loves to do whatever his big sister is doing!

Just hanging out in the yard

Eleanor had her first sleepover!  They were so exicted!

Making Valentine's Cookies!  Too bad I burned almost all of them...

Eleanor begged and begged me to let them watch a movie at the sleepover.  Here they are, enjoying the few cookies I didn't burn.

Eleanor's friend had a sleeping bag and was going to sleep next to Eleanor's bed, but of course Eleanor wanted to sleep on the floor too.  :)  They were so cute, laughing and deciding where to put each stuffed animal.  Later I told Hunter, "They were like two giggly girls having a sleepover" and he said, "They ARE two giggly girls having a sleepover!"  I guess it can start before they're 13.  :)

Morning trampoline bouncing

Hunter did a LOT of reading!

Making Valentines!  Arthur is painting with yogurt and food coloring.  He didn't put any in his mouth at all though, so I think next time we can upgrade to paint.

Arthur was experimenting with hands free techniques for carrying his stuffed dog around

One of his favorite things to do!
