As I type this, Eleanor is hiccuping away inside of me! She gets the hiccups almost every day now. I never understood how people knew that their baby had the hiccups, but it just feels like a light kick or movement that follows a pattern. Why else would she move every 4 or 5 seconds like that? What's really funny is that I also hiccuped a little bit at the same time! :) I read last night in What to expect that babies hiccup because their vocal cords are developing. Oh boy - she'll be ready to cry! It's also supposed to be a sign of a healthy baby.
I never felt hiccups with Ada. I guess from this point on I will have new pregnancy experiences that I didn't get to have with her. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next, but it makes me sad, too. This is the week in my pregnancy when Ada died.
