Baby-sitting fun

Today I got to baby-sit for my favorite niece! (Yes, she is my only niece, but still!) Julie (age 2) and I had a fun afternoon of playing with sidewalk chalk, reading books, and playing with every stuffed animal in my house. Here are some of my favorite Julie quotes for the day:

"Um, I think I need to go outside." She really wanted to play with the chalk - she needed to go.

"That says 'Jesus'." She was pointing to where I had written "Julie" in sidewalk chalk, which she can always recognize, but it was upside down to her.

"I took a nap!" She said this to Hunter when he got home, which was a complete lie, because I tried getting her to take a nap and I told her that Hunter would come play with her after her nap. She really wanted him to come play with her and asked for him about 10 times before he got home.

"It needs batteries." This was in response to me saying that the gray sidewalk chalk didn't work on the driveway.
