As you can tell, I've updated this blog - including the URL. I was thinking about making a new blog for Eleanor, but rather than keeping up with 3 blogs (and presumably more once Eleanor has younger siblings...), I'd rather just turn this one into a family blog. So anyway, that's my reason for the changes!

More projects
I made 2 changing pads and sets of covers (one for the nursery and one to keep downstairs). They are so soft! To make them I just bought 1" foam at Joann's and then basically made a pillowcase with the green material to cover the foam. Very simple. Then I have the little flannel covers so I don't have to change the main cover often. To make the flannel cover I just cut out a piece of flannel and sewed the edges down on the back.

I made a mei tai using the pattern at this site. If you don't know what a mei tai is, it's a baby carrier. Watch the video about it here.

Finally, I just finished up a baby quilt! I'm making a special purple one for Eleanor, but I started this quilt years ago when I took a quilting class and I recently found the one block I had made. I realized I only had enough fabric left to make a baby quilt (and after 4 years there's little hope of finding more of the same fabric), so I went ahead and made this. The pattern is called Jacob's Ladder. The colors are so much cuter in person!

We have a big baby!
Today I had my 3rd level 2 ultrasound (still 1 more to go) and everything looks great! Eleanor now weighs 4 lbs, 15 oz...and I'm not even quite at 32 weeks yet! She is in the 80th percentile, but the ultrasound tech said she's not surprised at all since Hunter and I are both tall. I'm not surprised either. We asked her how much she thinks Eleanor will weigh when I'm induced just before 38 weeks, and she said probably 8 pounds, or maybe 8 1/2. I don't think I mind that I'm being induced early!
Here are a couple of pictures of Eleanor's face. She has her hands right up next to it. I think her right eye is open in the second one, but I'm not sure.

46 more days!
I am going to the hospital on July 20! I'll go in around 4:00 PM and they'll get some stuff started, but the real induction begins around 7:00 AM the next day with the pitocin. It's just exciting to be able to put it on the calendar!
Besides that, everything is going well. My feet have been swelling a lot lately but my blood pressure was perfect, so there are no worries there. I had another NST and Eleanor did great. I have another Level 2 ultrasound on Monday so we'll get to see how much she has grown!
