I realized I haven't posted much about Eleanor in a while - I think it's because so much has been happening! So here we go.
- Eleanor has just started eating solids twice a day. A month ago I was determined that she was going to wait until 6 months, but a couple of issues came up and everybody seems to be happier now. She is still nursing just as much, but after she nurses she eats some solids once in the morning and once in the evening. (I was told to nurse first so babies get plenty of good quality breastmilk calories. I usually nurse her again for just a couple of minutes afterward too in case she's thirsty.) So far she's had bananas and sweet potatoes, but we plan to add avocado to the list in a day or two.
- Naps have improved DRASTICALLY, thank goodness! We had a very rough couple of weeks, but now she seems to have transitioned to a real schedule. She naps around 9, 12, and 3:30. Her naps are usually exactly 45 minutes long, which is short, but she sleeps 11-12 hours straight at night so I don't mind. She almost always naps in her crib with a lovey. She doesn't always fall asleep without it, so I'm glad that we have several of them!

- Eleanor seems to love books. She especially loves turning the pages, not that she always does that. Her other favorite toys include Daddy's beard, her exersaucer, anything she can chew on, and the cat. Penny is very tolerant and lets Eleanor pet her about once a day. I'll have to get a picture sometime.
- I think Eleanor is going to be an introvert. Whenever we go out somewhere and she sees new people she is SO quiet. She talks and smiles a lot at home with us, but what gets her REALLY talking is when we leave her alone with her toys. She will just talk and squeal with them all day!
